Rachel Morrell

RD

Hi! My name is Rachel Morrell and I began my career helping moms and babies 2002 as an LPN on the mother/baby floor at Utah Valley Hospital. In 2003, I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing at BYU, and was thrilled to become the newest RN working with premature infants in the NICU. I felt like I had finally found my niche in the NICU! I love to support moms and babies on their journey through the NICU. In 2011, I was excited to transition to being a lactation specialist and later became an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I have continued working in the NICU as a lactation consultant, and have learned so much from my own experience with breastfeeding four children, as well as working with premature infants with many different needs and abilities. For the past 20 years I have LOVED helping moms bond with their babies and help them meet their feeding goals. It is humbling to be a part of that experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity.

I am a mom to four rambunctious kids, and my husband and I enjoy spending time with them at all of their activities. I love a good DIY, and I’m a little obsessed with organization and cleaning, but will avoid all of that if I have found a good book.

I am excited to be a part of Utah Breastfeeding and Tongue Tie team!
